Medical Receptionist

We are seeking an experience and professional medical receptionist, to join a specialist clinic based in Subiaco. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment, alongside a collaborative team of medical professionals.

The clinic is shared between two doctors; this role will be supporting a Plastic Surgeon but will offer occasional support to the other doctor within the clinic. It is a fast-paced clinic, often with bookings up to one month in advance.

About the Role:

As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic. This is a varied and rewarding position suited to someone who is organised, personable, and thrives in a busy customer facing environment. This is a permanent, long-term position, working 4 full days per week out of a Subiaco based clinic, with an option to work a 9 day fortnight. 

Working Hours:

4 days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (30-minute unpaid break), with an option to work a 9 day fortnight. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing general reception duties including phones, emails, and front desk

• Booking and confirming patient appointments  

• Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic

• Basic Dictaphone typing (short 1–2 paragraph templates)

• Providing occasional cover for billings & theatre booking when required

Skills & Experience:

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience in a specialist medical reception role

• Strong working knowledge of Genie software

• Solid understanding of Medicare processes and requirements

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
