We’re partnering with a highly regarded surveying specialist that plays a key role in delivering complex urban infrastructure projects. They are known for their technical excellence, strong project partnerships, and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes across every stage of construction.
This is a senior leadership role overseeing surveying operations across multiple metro civil projects. You’ll be responsible for leading survey teams, ensuring technical accuracy, and supporting successful project delivery in fast-paced urban environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage survey teams across multiple metro civil infrastructure projects
- Oversee all construction surveying activities, including set-out, as-built, and verification works
- Ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with project and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement survey methodologies, workflows, and QA/QC processes
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams
- Manage survey resources, including personnel, equipment, and subcontractors
- Review and approve survey data, reports, and deliverables
- Maintain and optimise use of modern survey technologies and equipment
- Mentor and develop junior surveyors and technical staff
- Identify and manage survey-related risks across projects
About You
- Proven experience in a Survey Manager or Senior Surveyor role within civil infrastructure
- Strong background in metro or urban infrastructure projects (roads, rail, utilities, etc.)
- Proficient with modern survey equipment (Total Stations, GNSS, laser scanning, UAVs)
- Strong working knowledge of survey software (e.g. 12d, Civil 3D)
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies and engineering principles
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
- Relevant qualification in Surveying or Geospatial Science
- Professional registration or eligibility is highly regarded
