Site Engineer

The Role:
Just because it's winter, doesn't mean Civil Construction stops and my client is in full swing across the Canterbury region. I'm on the hunt for an experienced Site Engineer to join a well established Civil Construction Company, taking on a major Earthworks project in North Canterbury.

In this role you'll be reporting to the senior Project Engineer and senior leadership team to support the project delivery, management of personnel, health & safety, environmental, quality and scheduling to deliver a successful project outcome.

• Annual Salary $70,000 - $95,000 (experience dependent)

What we’re looking for:

• Relevant civil construction experience & Civil Engineering Degree
• A clean Class 1 driver’s licence
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and a solid understanding of quality, safety, and environmental standards
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software

Your responsibilities:

• Own delivery of work, including earthworks and drainage
• Plan works, programme, methodology and resources
• Lead all set out accurately, efficiently and to design specs
• Contribute to site wide planning and coordination
• Compile and submit QA/completion documentation
• Use Trimble Business Centre (TBC) for data prep and verification
• Operate GPS rover confidently for set-out and survey
• Drive day to day site execution, problem solving, and compliance.
