Electrical Project Engineer – Building Services

Are you an Electrical Project Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a growing contractor that continues to secure a strong pipeline of work across Sydney?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established electrical contractor that has recently secured a range of projects across education, commercial fit-outs, commercial base build developments, and aged care facilities, with electrical packages valued up to $10 million.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded engineer who enjoys being involved throughout the full project lifecycle. You'll split your time between the office and site, providing engineering, technical, and documentation support to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. For engineers interested in broadening their skill set, there will also be exposure to estimating and tendering activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support across multiple building services projects from commencement through to completion.
• Prepare and manage project documentation including RFIs, technical submissions, shop drawings, and commissioning documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, assist with procurement activities, and help manage project costs and variations.
• Support estimating and tendering activities, including take-offs, pricing reviews, and supplier engagement.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous experience delivering commercial building services projects as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems within commercial, education, healthcare, aged care, or fit-out environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively between office and site.
• Ambitious and proactive attitude with a willingness to develop broader skills across estimating and project delivery.

• Salary package up to $120,000 + Super.
