Maintenance Technician – Food Production Facility Pay: $39.05 per hour Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced food production environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining processing and packaging equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in manufacturing or food processing environments, and the ability to respond quickly to equipment issues. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair production equipment breakdowns in a timely manner Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions Perform preventative maintenance including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements Support production startups, line changeovers, and equipment setup adjustments Accurately complete work orders, maintenance logs, and parts usage documentation within CMMS systems Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects Maintain safe work practices and follow all company food safety and sanitation procedures Work collaboratively with production and operations teams to minimize downtime Qualifications Experience & Education Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in food processing, agriculture, or manufacturing environments Vocational/trade school training preferred, or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience Technical Skills Working knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment including: Conveyors Washers Cutters Dryers Sorters Baggers Sealers Case packers Ability to diagnose and repair: Mechanical systems Electrical systems Hydraulic systems Experience working with: Motors Gearboxes Bearings Belts Chains Pumps Valves Ability to read and interpret: Mechanical drawings Electrical schematics Equipment manuals SOPs Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment, including recognizing alarms, sensors, and faults Additional Requirements Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and in a team environment Reliable attendance and ability to work in a production setting Flexibility to work overtime or varying schedules as needed Benefits Competitive hourly pay Stable full-time opportunity Growth potential within a production facility Supportive team-oriented environment Apply today to join a growing food production team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
