Our client is a government organisation tasked with improving the lives of Australians. Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Officer at APS5 level to join them on a 12-month non-ongoing contract.
About the role:
- Maintaining financial systems
- Accounting and financial operations
- Review of payroll reports
- Processing Accounts Payable
- Processing Accounts Receivable
- Preparation of finance reporting
- Expenses (travel, credit card) and general ledger
- Preparing BAS and FBT returns
- Any other required accounting or administration duties as required
About you:
- You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in either finance or accounting
- You will have previous experience working as Finance Officer, or similar role with strong knowledge of financial and accounting processes
- You will have previous experience working with SAP
- You will have previous experience working in a government organisation
- You will have strong attention to detail
- You will have strong communication skills - both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
- You will have strong time management and organisational skills
- You will have the ability to work autonomously
Benefits:
- Non-APS/Fixed Term Contract for 12 months - you will be paid holiday and sick pay
- ASAP start (pending Federal Police Check)
- Full time hours Monday to Friday
- Sydney CBD location
- $90,943 per annum, plus super @ 15.4%
