Position Description:
As a member of the Engineering Systems Team responsible for the design and maintenance of the Electrical & Electronics systems for Underground Loaders and Trucks for the hard rock mining applications, you will report to the Electrical team lead within the Hard Rock business unit.
You will learn and be responsible for designing electrical and electronic components, circuitry, managing projects, designing mounting hardware, interpreting and updating software programs for machines and releasing drawings as well as updating literature and parts.
Participating in production roll outs, you will conduct both analysis and validation to ensure the success of projects.
Responsible for making design changes, you will consult with multiple areas of the business including other functional design areas, international team members, and agency staff members.
Position Responsibilities:
In this role your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
- Contribute to the design of new products and processes
- Evaluating new products, processes, or systems
- Perform product and process maintenance
- Ensure design meets ISO and all relevant standards
Required Qualifications.
Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Materials Science or approved Engineering discipline
Strong analytical skills and some relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
Experience in 3D modelling, Electrical & Electronic control systems, Knowledge of software programming systems, C code.
Mobile equipment design/maintenance, and experience in mining. are all desirable attributes
