An established boutique law firm located on Sydney’s North Shore is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join its team on a part time basis. This is a pivotal role supporting the smooth day to day operation of a close knit and professional practice with a strong reputation in the market.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Principals, you will take ownership of the operational and administrative functions of the practice, ensuring efficiency, compliance and a positive working environment.
- Overseeing day to day practice operations and workflows
- Managing trust accounting and liaising with external accountants
- Supervising and managing administrative and support staff
- Handling HR functions including onboarding, policies and performance support
- Managing billing processes, WIP and debtors
- Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Principals
- Monitoring cash flow, budgets and forecasts to support informed decision making
- Liaising with external accountants, auditors and banks
- Coordinating IT systems, practice management software and external suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional obligations
About You
You will be an experienced Practice Manager with a strong understanding of the legal environment.
You will bring
- Proven experience in practice management within a law firm
- Sound knowledge of trust accounting and financial reporting skills
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Confidence working closely with Principals and senior lawyers
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
