Machine Operator
Location: Westland, MI Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $15.00/hr
Job Summary
We’re seeking dependable Machine Operators to join a growing nutritional supplement manufacturing team in Westland, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for operating encapsulation equipment used to produce nutritional supplements while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met throughout the production process.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Machine Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
Machine Operation: Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust encapsulation machines to ensure products are produced according to specifications.
Production Support: Load materials into machines, monitor production runs, perform basic machine adjustments, and assist with troubleshooting minor issues as they arise.
Quality & Packaging: Inspect products for quality, complete production documentation, package finished products, and prepare materials for the next production run.
In addition, you will assist with cleaning equipment, maintaining organized work areas, supporting warehouse activities as needed, and helping ensure production goals are achieved.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience required.
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to stand and work throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance required.
Skills:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable learning and operating production equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and communicate equipment or quality concerns.
Work Environment
This is a clean, temperature-controlled facility maintained at approximately 68 degrees year-round. Employees can expect a well-organized production environment with a moderate work pace and opportunities to learn and grow within the operation.
