Following a period of significant growth and expansion activity, the organisation is strengthening its leadership capability and operational infrastructure to support future scale and performance.
Focused on delivering high-quality patient care and operational excellence, the organisation is continuing to invest in leadership, governance and scalable operating frameworks across its network.
The opportunity
This newly created position presents a rare opportunity to build and lead a greenfield procurement function within a rapidly evolving private healthcare environment. Operating during a significant period of expansion activity and integration activity, the successful candidate will play a central role in shaping procurement operating models, governance, supplier partnerships and commercial frameworks across an increasingly complex multi-site organisation.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Group Procurement Manager will lead procurement strategy and operations across a growing network of hospitals and healthcare services. The successful candidate will support the organisation in establishing fit-for-purpose procurement capability that balances commercial outcomes, operational performance and high-quality patient care delivery.
Working closely with operational leaders, clinicians and the executive team, the successful candidate will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier performance and establish consistent procurement frameworks across clinical and non-clinical categories. The position carries responsibility for supplier engagement, contract management, inventory oversight and procurement governance, together with identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, standardisation and scalability across the organisation.
This role provides the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide decision making and support the organisation through its next phase of growth, operational integration and capability uplift.
About you
You are an experienced procurement leader with a background in healthcare, hospitals, health services or similarly complex and regulated environments. You bring experience leading procurement strategy and operations across multi-site organisations, together with strong commercial acumen and supplier management capability.
You are comfortable operating in fast-paced and evolving environments and bring the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery. You build strong relationships across clinical, operational and executive stakeholder groups and are recognised for your collaborative and pragmatic approach.
Experience supporting organisational growth, integration activity or procurement transformation initiatives will be highly regarded.
