An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Nurse (CN) to join a remote healthcare service in Lockhart River. This role is ideal for a confident senior nurse who thrives in rural and autonomous practice environments.

About the Role As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical care, leadership, and coordination within a remote health facility. You will act as a senior clinician on shift, supporting both emergency presentations and ongoing primary health care needs within the community.

This role requires strong clinical judgement, leadership capability, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a high standard of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced acute and emergency nursing care in a remote setting
• Act as first on call for clinical decision-making and escalation support
• Manage triage and emergency presentations effectively
• Support and participate in MEC/REC (Medical Emergency Care / Remote Emergency Care) processes
• Contribute to portfolio development, clinical audit, and quality improvement activities
• Provide leadership and support to other nursing staff
• Ensure safe, culturally appropriate care in a remote community setting

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an acute care setting
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
• Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Recognised Triage qualification
• Demonstrated experience in first on call / senior nurse roles
• Competency in MEC/REC training or equivalent emergency care framework

Highly Desirable

• Current manual driver’s licence
