Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $16-17/hr based on experience + $1.25/hr on time bonus
 
Job Description: 
A Furniture Sprayer (or Spray Painter) applies paints, varnishes, lacquers, and stains to furniture using spray equipment to achieve a high-quality, smooth finish. 
 
  • Key responsibilities include preparing surfaces (sanding, cleaning), mixing finishes, operating spray guns, and maintaining equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of coating materials.
 
Core Responsibilities: 
  • Surface Preparation: Sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming furniture surfaces (wood, metal, plastic) to ensure proper adhesion.
 
  • Applying Finishes: Operating pneumatic spray guns to apply lacquer, varnish, stain, or paint to furniture pieces according to specifications.
 
  • Mixing/Color Matching: Mixing coatings, stains, and lacquers to achieve desired colors and finishes.
 
  • Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning, troubleshooting, and repairing spray guns and tools.
 
  • Quality Control: Inspecting finished products to ensure consistency, quality, and a defect-free appearance.
 
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to OSHA regulations, using proper PPE (masks, respirators), and maintaining a clean work environment.
 
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: 
  • Proven experience in furniture finishing, painting, or operating spray equipment.
 
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of different types of wood finishes, paints, and stains.
 
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to achieve flawless finishes and identify defects.
 
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for long periods, lift, and perform repetitive movements.
