Detailed Description of Services:

The Instructional Designer will play a key role in the design and development of engaging, effective, and scalable learning solutions, with a strong emphasis on video-based training and multimedia learning experiences. This position is responsible for analyzing learning needs, collaborating with subject matter experts, and creating instructional materials that align with organizational goals and project deliverables. The designer will apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to produce high-quality video training, eLearning, and blended learning programs using tools such as Articulate 360 and Camtasia. The ideal candidate brings strong visual storytelling, video production, and multimedia development skills to create impactful learner-centered experiences.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Determine and implement learning strategies and programs, including blended learning approaches, that meet the evolving needs of the workforce through in-person, virtual, and video-based eLearning solutions.
  • Design, develop, edit, and produce instructional videos, eLearning modules, curricula, and supporting documents, including detailed storyboards, scripts, and multimedia assets.
  • Lead the creation of engaging video-based learning experiences, including software demonstrations, scenario-based training, microlearning videos, voiceover narration, and instructional walkthroughs.
  • Use video editing and screen capture tools, including Camtasia, to produce polished, accessible, and visually engaging training content that aligns with learning objectives and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to translate complex information into concise, learner-friendly multimedia training solutions.
  • Ensure all training programs and materials adhere to established standards, style guides, branding requirements, accessibility guidelines, and templates.
  • Independently manage multiple training and multimedia development projects across different client groups, delivering high-quality outcomes within project timelines.
  • Provide editing, quality assurance, and consistency checks for training deliverables, video content, and communications.
  • Create learning solutions in multiple formats (e.g., instructor-led, virtual, microlearning, self-paced modules, and video tutorials) tailored to diverse learner needs.
  • Apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to proactively resolve challenges and maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure all programs reflect and reinforce organizational branding, templates, and cultural values, including a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
 
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of instructional design experience, with demonstrated expertise in adult learning strategies, online learning, rapid design principles, and multimedia training development.
  • Demonstrated experience creating professional video-based training content, including scripting, storyboarding, screen recording, audio narration, and video editing.
  • Advanced proficiency with eLearning and multimedia development tools, including Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and Camtasia.
  • Experience producing engaging instructional videos and multimedia assets that support learner engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in curriculum design, training needs analysis, instructional design, video production, and eLearning development.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, communication, visual storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to present information in a concise, solution-focused manner.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments and organizational levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and reprioritize tasks as project needs evolve.
  • Ability to analyze information quickly, develop curriculum outlines, write scripts and storyboards, and draft training content that aligns with learning objectives.
  • Experience independently developing training solutions from initial needs analysis through delivery and evaluation.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current learning technologies, video production techniques, instructional strategies, and trends in training program design.
