About the Role
Join a highly regarded project advisory and commercial consultancy supporting major mining and resources projects across Western Australia. The team partners with tier-one and mid-tier operators, delivering hands-on commercial, contract and procurement expertise across the full project lifecycle.
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to play a key leadership role across complex EPC and EPCM mining projects. You will provide strategic commercial oversight, mentor developing talent, and work closely with both contractor and client-side stakeholders to drive strong commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract management and senior-level contract administration activities
- Oversee contract negotiation, preparation of notices and formal directions
- Manage tender package preparation, negotiation and award processes
- Develop and implement procurement strategies
- Support commercial set-up of projects (project controls, procurement frameworks, head contract manuals, procedures)
- Prepare and assess claims (EOTs, variations, cost claims)
- Provide risk management oversight across project phases
- Act in the owner’s representative and superintendency capacities where required
- Supervise and mentor contract administrators and junior commercial team members
- Support establishment and growth of embedded commercial teams within client environments
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering or related discipline
- 8–10+ years’ post-qualification experience in contract/commercial management
- 5+ years’ WA mining & resources project experience (EPC/EPCM environment preferred)
- Strong contractor-side commercial exposure highly regarded
- Proven ability to manage complex commercial risk in high-value projects
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Passionate about mentoring and developing emerging talent
- Currently residing in Western Australia with full Australian working rights
