Reporting to management, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of Drill & Blast activities while ensuring production objectives are achieved.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising daily Drill & Blast operations
- Leading and mentoring site-based crews
- Driving a strong safety culture across the workforce
- Coordinating production activities to meet operational targets
- Managing contractor performance and site stakeholders
- Conducting toolbox meetings and pre-starts
- Supporting incident investigations and risk management activities
- Monitoring explosives compliance and operational performance
- Managing workforce planning and shift execution
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and WA mining legislation
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in a Drill & Blast Supervisory position within open pit mining
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead high-performing teams
- Demonstrated experience managing production outcomes in a mining environment
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Strong understanding of Western Australian mining safety legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Sound computer skills and experience with reporting systems
- A proactive approach to safety, leadership, and operational excellence
- WA Shotfirer's Licence
- Section 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification
- Certificate IV in Surface Extraction Operations, Mining Management, Leadership or similar
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Experience across gold, iron ore, lithium, or base metals operations
