Digital Infrastructure Lead

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network & Things Lead to take ownership of a complex, enterprise-scale infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for leading the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of network services across a large and critical digital ecosystem.

You will oversee the end-to-end operation of core network infrastructure spanning IT, OT, and IoT environments, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned to business needs.
This is a key leadership role that blends technical expertise, operational management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage network operations to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
• Oversee LAN, WAN, VPN, and IoT environments across a complex infrastructure landscape
• Drive incident, problem, change, and service management in line with ITIL practices
• Manage and performance-optimise vendors and service providers against SLAs and contracts
• Provide technical leadership in network design, architecture, and service improvements
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
• Monitor system performance and proactively address risks and issues
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network services
• Build and develop a high-performing technical team
• Engage stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable, customer-focused services

About You You are an experienced infrastructure leader who combines strong technical capability with operational and leadership expertise.

You will bring:

• 8–10+ years’ experience in network infrastructure and operations
• Proven experience leading technical teams in complex environments
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Network technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless)
  • Digital infrastructure across IT, OT, and IoT domains
• Experience in IT Service Management (ITIL) environments
• Demonstrated experience managing:
  • Vendors and service providers
  • Budgets and operational planning
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g. APRA, SOCI or similar)

Desirable

• Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, Juniper, ITIL)
• Background in utilities, critical infrastructure, or large enterprise environments
