MAYDAY Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established and highly respected funeral services provider seeking a compassionate and commercially minded Location Manager to lead one of their Brisbane Central sites.

This is a leadership role that blends operational performance, financial accountability, and genuine community connection. You will initially complete training at the Morningside central operation before being appointed to a permanent location anywhere between South Brisbane and North Gold Coast.

About the Role

As Location Manager, you will take full responsibility for a single funeral home managing approximately 250–500 cases annually. You will lead a team of up to 10 staff, ensuring operational efficiency, strong performance outcomes, and exceptional service delivery to the local community.

You will oversee the overall commercial and operational performance of the site, maintaining accountability for financial outcomes and customer experience measures. The role also involves implementing effective local area marketing initiatives and maintaining strong business relationships within the community.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who can confidently make decisions, solve problems in real time, and lead from the front.

About You

We welcome leaders from retail, hospitality, healthcare, funeral services, or other service-driven industries. Funeral experience is advantageous but not essential – the right mindset and leadership capability are key.

You will bring:

  • Proven management experience within a service-driven environment

  • Experience leading teams to achieve financial and performance targets

  • Exposure to budgeting and commercial decision-making

  • Strong people leadership and the ability to build engaged teams

  • Confidence working in a compassionate, sensitive environment

  • Experience building and maintaining local business relationships

  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence

  • Must be open to being placed in a permanent location anywhere between South Brisbane and North Gold Coast

Highly regarded but not essential:

  • Understanding of the funeral industry or ability to quickly acquire knowledge

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or related discipline
