The Opportunity
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering commercial excellence—overseeing contract lifecycle management, supporting business growth, and ensuring robust governance across all commercial activities.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing strategic input while maintaining strong operational control across multiple programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management across multiple projects
- Identify and manage commercial risks, issues, and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and contractual frameworks
- Manage change control, claims, and dispute resolution
- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, legal, and operations
- Contribute to commercial strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience in a Commercial Management role
- Background in Defence, Aerospace, or Public Sector environments
- Strong knowledge of procurement frameworks and regulations (e.g. Procurement Act 2023, SSCR)
- Experience with DEFCONs and DEFSTANs
- Expertise in contract types (e.g. Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, Framework Agreements)
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- MCIPS or equivalent (desirable)
- Understanding of export controls (ITAR/EAR)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills
- Currently hold or are eligible for security clearance
