Aequor is currently hiring two (2) School Social Workers in Kenosha, WI, for the upcoming 26/27 school year.
Pay: $50 - $52 per hour W-2 (12-month salary options available if preferred)
Caseload/Classroom size and type: 10-12 students, specified EBD self-contained, no cross-cat students
Required Certification(s): school social work license- DPI
General Duties: Related Services - Collaboration with Case Manager
Position Summary
The School Social Worker provides comprehensive social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health support to students in order to promote academic success and overall well-being. The School Social Worker collaborates with educators, families, and community agencies to identify and address barriers to learning and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, including special education mandates.

Position Summary

Student Support & Counseling
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and/or family challenges.
- Conduct crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
- Support students with attendance concerns, behavioral challenges, and school adjustment issues.
- Develop and implement intervention plans aligned with MTSS and/or IEP goals.
- Consult with teachers and administrators regarding classroom strategies and behavioral interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and problem-solving teams.
- Experience working in a school setting.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse student populations and families.
- Cultural competence and commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively.
