Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform final inspection of components and finished products using microscopes and other inspection equipment.
- Examine parts for defects, imperfections, contamination, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators as required.
- Review product drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Segregate and identify nonconforming materials according to established procedures.
- Report quality concerns, defects, and production issues to supervisors and quality personnel.
- Ensure all inspected products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
- Follow all company policies, quality procedures, and safety regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality audits as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to use microscopes for extended periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify minor defects and irregularities.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during inspections.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements.
- Strong visual acuity, including close-up inspection of small components.
- Ability to distinguish fine details, colors, and surface defects.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
