We’re working with a well-established, employee-owned environmental and geoscience consultancy that’s seeing sustained growth in contaminated land work across Western Australia - particularly in the South West.
They’re looking to bring an experienced Senior or Principal Environmental Scientist into the team, someone who knows WA contaminated sites work inside out and is comfortable leading projects, mentoring others, and owning outcomes.
The role
You’ll work as part of a highly experienced, multidisciplinary team including environmental scientists, geochemists, hydrogeologists and engineers. The work is varied and technically solid, with a strong pipeline across:

The role
You’ll work as part of a highly experienced, multidisciplinary team including environmental scientists, geochemists, hydrogeologists and engineers. The work is varied and technically solid, with a strong pipeline across:
- Contaminated sites investigations and remediation
- Acid sulfate soils
- Soil, groundwater and surface water assessments
- Environmental and human health risk assessments
- Transport and fate chemical modelling
- Technical reporting and client-facing project delivery
Depending on your experience and interests, there’s also scope to contribute to related areas such as environmental management plans, rehabilitation and mine closure planning, and approvals work.

What they’re looking for
- A relevant tertiary qualification (environmental science, chemistry, geochemistry, geology, soil science or environmental engineering)
- 10+ years’ experience in contaminated land work in Western Australia
- Strong working knowledge of the WA Contaminated Sites Act and associated guidelines
- Proven experience planning and delivering field programs (soil, groundwater, monitoring, remediation, ASS investigations)
- Solid project management capability - budgets, schedules, deliverables
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior to mid-level staff
- Confidence working independently while still being a team player
