The Opportunity
A leadership mandate for a veteran architect to shape the long-term technology trajectory of a major insurance player. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical governance, requiring a "city planner" mindset to oversee a complex IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Roadmap: Architect the target state and long-term technology roadmap, ensuring all designs meet business goals and local insurance compliance standards.
- Enterprise Governance: Apply EA frameworks (TOGAF/Zachman) to guide business improvements and maintain high-standard IT ecosystems.
- High-Level Leadership: Direct and mentor a dedicated team of architects, cultivating an innovative and high-performance culture.
- Stakeholder Advisory: Serve as a bridge between business and IT leadership to communicate the state of the technological landscape.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with engineering, delivery, and data governance units to deploy resilient, market-leading solutions.
- Innovation Research: Act as a champion for emerging tech (AI, Blockchain) to drive operational efficiency and better customer outcomes.
- Risk Management: Detect and mitigate architectural risks to safeguard IT system integrity.
Requirements
- Experience: 15+ years in architecture, with at least 5 years specifically in an Enterprise Architect capacity.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of TOGAF/Zachman, system integration, API management, microservices (SOA/EDA), and full-stack environments (Java, Python, JS).
- Domain Knowledge: Extensive background in the insurance industry with a strong grasp of data architecture and cybersecurity.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related technical field.
