Infrastructure & Platform Egineer (m/f/d)

For our client, a leading company in its sector, we are searching for a Infrastructure & Platforms Engineer (f/m/d) as soon as possible.

Your Job:

As the founder of the new Infrastructure & Platforms team, you develop the vision for and lead the transition to highly available and scalable future SaaS infrastructure. You are a senior infrastructure engineer who enjoys working with a high degree of autonomy and influence over the engineering landscape, where you help the development teams make the right infrastructure choices and support them in building and running services.

• You build and continuously extend the vision for the cloud infrastructure
• You lead the transition from the current managed PaaS infrastructure
• You establish monitoring and observability tools to maintain a high level of platform maturity
• You manage all our infrastructure services like application servers, databases, workflow engines
• You set up new services using best practices
• You enable the development teams with architectural and operational topics
• You automate regular tasks like database maintenance
• You help improve the team processes and our developer experience

Your Profile:

• You have B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• You have +3 years experience as Cloud or DevOps Engineer
• You bring knowledge of IT and network security best practices
• You bring professional experience with Kubernetes in a production environment
• You have experience with provisioning tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• You have experience with SQL databases, preferably Postgres
• You have very good communication skills and full proficiency in English (German is a nice to have)
• You come from a time zone +-1 h
• You are constantly interested in improving things and proactively bring in your own new ideas
• You value transparency, friendly interaction and diversity just as much as we do!
• You are a team player and fun to work with :)
• Nice to have: Experience with IoT devices
• Nice to have: Productive coder in a scripting language such as Ruby, JS or Python
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Rails or Elixir programming
