Mixing Technician
(Chemical Operator)
ROLE DEFINITION
As a Mixing Technician (Chemical Operator) you will be responsible and accountable for the safe and efficient mixing of batches of chemical materials by adding raw materials into a mixing pot. This role requires a moderate amount of overtime throughout the week and sometimes on Saturdays.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:
Adhere to quality and safety systems and standards
Handle hazardous raw materials and products with appropriate care and precaution
Monitor process conditions and equipment
Participate in the creation and the maintenance of a clean work area
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
High School education or GED equivalent is required.
Experience operating a fork truck is a plus
Experience working in a manufacturing environment or clean room is preferred
Willing and able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required
Willing and able to work in a restricted, electrically classified area for use of flammable and combustible materials
Able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
Qualifications:
This opening is for ONE Mixing Technician
2nd Shift: 2 - 10pm with a paid 30-minute meal break.
Training for the position may take place during 1st shift hours (6am - 2:30pm) for approx. 1 - 3 weeks.
