Procurement Officer

• $63.90 per hour + super
• Contract until 31st March 2027
• Hybrid Working 35 hours a week

A leading Sydney-based university is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join a high-performing Procurement Services team on a long-term contract through to March 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with procurement operations, purchasing, transactional procurement, vendor support, or procurement administration experience within a large and complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process procurement and transactional purchasing activities accurately and efficiently
• Provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding procurement processes and systems
• Manage supplier and stakeholder enquiries while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and governance requirements
• Support reporting, documentation management, data integrity, and process improvement initiatives
• Assist with operational procurement activities across a high-volume environment
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to maintain service delivery standards and compliance obligations

About You:

• Experience within procurement, purchasing, vendor management, procurement operations, or transactional services
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of work accurately
• Experience working within large, complex, or highly regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
• Comfortable working with procurement systems, CRMs, ERP platforms, or finance systems
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and governance requirements
• Higher education or government experience is highly regarded
