We’re seeking a technically strong, delivery-focused Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design, analysis, and coordination across complex industrial structures in a fast-paced project environment.
Civil/structural engineering scope across a large-scale mining project. Lead design execution. Solve complex engineering challenges. Drive constructability. Deliver to milestone.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead detailed civil/structural design for industrial facilities, buildings (covered and open), equipment foundations (including piling), retaining walls, material handling and heavy support structures
- Execute advanced 3D structural analysis (static, dynamic, seismic, finite element analysis)
- Design to international codes and standards
- Develop and check complex deliverables: steel and concrete calculations, specifications, material requisitions
- Perform seismic and dynamic assessments for critical infrastructure
- Resolve conflicting design constraints with practical, buildable solutions
- Prepare procurement packages, scope of work documents, and conduct technical bid evaluations
- Produce discipline material take-offs
- Lead and mentor a small team of engineers and designers
- Interface closely with procurement, contracts, construction, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide technical support during construction and address site issues as they arise
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 10–15 years’ experience in mining, heavy industrial, or large infrastructure projects
- Advanced structural analysis capability, including 3D and FEA modelling
- Proficient in structural design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Strand7 or similar)
- Strong experience in steel and reinforced concrete design
- Proven experience leading small engineering teams
- Confident managing procurement interfaces and technical evaluations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment
