Ethos BeathChapman is partnering with a well-established, customer-focused financial services organisation to appoint a Compliance Manager within its Risk, Legal & Compliance function.
This is a key role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organisation’s compliance framework, providing trusted advisory support to the business, and embedding a strong compliance culture across all levels of the organisation.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory obligations are effectively managed and integrated into day-to-day operations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to uplift compliance capability, drive awareness, and provide practical, commercially sound guidance.
This role offers broad exposure across compliance advisory, framework management, regulatory engagement, and reporting, within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and continuously enhance the organisation’s compliance framework, policies and procedures
- Develop and deliver the annual Compliance Management Plan and ongoing reporting to senior management and governance forums
- Provide pragmatic compliance advice to business stakeholders, supporting decision-making and risk outcomes
- Manage compliance incidents and breaches, including monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement
- Lead regulatory engagement and oversight of external dispute processes
- Deliver and embed compliance training programs across the organisation
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and translate requirements into actionable business outcomes
- Support governance reporting to executive and board-level stakeholders
- Drive a strong compliance culture and uplift awareness across the business

Your background will include:
- Experience in a compliance, risk or governance role within a regulated financial services environment
- Strong understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks and key regulators
- Proven experience in compliance frameworks, monitoring programs and advisory
- Ability to interpret complex regulation and translate into practical business outcomes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with sound judgement
