Development Engineer

Aspect Personnel are working with a Council in Melbourne's South East to recruit an experienced Development Engineer for a 2 month contract role.

You will primarily be responsible for assessing subdivision designs for greenfield developments and proposed council capital works projects. 

As a Development Engineer, You will be responsible for:

• Assessing development and subdivision applications (drainage & traffic)
• Assessing legal points of discharge & building over easements 
• Conducting works inspections and providing recommendations 
• Providing advice to residents 
• Liaising with developers and key stakeholders

As the ideal candidate you will have/be:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience/qualifications
• A Civil Engineer, ideally with experience in Victorian Local Government
• Demonstrated experience in approving development plans
• Previous experience assessing legal points of discharge, vehicle crossings and building over easements
• A solid understanding of local government policies, procedures and legislation
• A valid Victorian Drivers License 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
