About the Role
We are looking for Automation Operator’s to join our manufacturing site based in Pokeno. This is a hands-on role working with automated and semi-automated machinery, supporting the production of high-quality water management products.
You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day production, operating machinery, and ensuring processes run smoothly and safely. This is a great opportunity for someone with some manufacturing experience who is looking to grow their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
We have opportunities across two shift patterns:
Morning Shift: 6:00AM – 2:30PM
Afternoon Shift: 4:30PM – 12:30AM
Our client is a leader in New Zealand in Water Management Products. They operate eight factory sites across New Zealand and we supply product types for drainage, watermain, environmental. They are proudly family-owned, founded 50 years ago and have grown significantly, with now more than 800 employees. A proven leader in the market!

- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with production processes to meet daily targets
- Perform basic machine checks and report any faults or issues
- Support with material handling, including forklift operation
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and site requirements
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Participate in pre-start meetings and contribute to team discussions
- This role is on a permanent basis and we are looking for somebody who wants to stay long-term and is interesting in progressing within the company. There are options for you to progress into a senior management role quickly.
- Around 1+ year experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment
- A current OSH forklift license with practical experience
- A strong focus on health and safety
- Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong reliability and work ethic
- Basic computer skills (advantageous but not essential)
- Ability to pass a Drug test
- Have no criminal convictions
