About the Role

This full-time position, commencing as soon as possible, involves teaching Religious Education across Years 7–12. The role includes delivering engaging and theologically sound programs aligned to the ACT curriculum and Catholic teaching. The successful teacher will foster critical thinking, reflection, and respectful dialogue, supporting students in developing a deeper understanding of faith, ethics, and contemporary issues within a cohesive faculty environment.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned Religious Education programs across Years 7-12

  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom grounded in Catholic values

  • Use assessment data to inform planning and support student growth

  • Communicate clearly with parents and caregivers regarding progress and wellbeing

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to liturgical, pastoral, and whole-school initiatives

Requirements

  • Registration with, or eligibility for, the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)

  • Relevant qualifications in Religious Education or Theology

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
