About the role:
An opportunity exists for a Solution Designer to support the migration from SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya by managing DevOps pipelines, automation, and deployment frameworks across both platforms, ensuring operational stability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and support the CI/CD pipelines for SAS Viya deployments.
• Design and Support SAS 9.4 batch jobs, scripts, and automation during migration.
• Automate infrastructure, monitoring, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with Dev, Architecture, and Ops teams for smooth cutover.
• Ensure reconciliation, validation, and governance controls in hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot DevOps pipeline issues and optimize workflows.
• Contribute to best practices and reusable DevOps patterns for SAS platforms.

Required Skills:

• SAS 9.4 & SAS Viya administration and DevOps expertise.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins,GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Azure DevOps.
• Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible.
• Scripting: Shell, PowerShell, Groovy,SAS, Python
• Cloud platforms: Azure or AWS
• Understanding of data migration, validation, and integration.
• Knowledge of control frameworks and enterprise schedulers (e.g., Control-M, Airflow, LSF).
• Solutions exposure to Non-SAS projects
• Use of Gen AI tools ( CoPilot etc.,) in Making Solutions.

Desired:

• Experience in SAS migration projects.
• Exposure to risk, compliance, or regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with data governance tools.

What's on offer?
This contract is available for an initial 6-month term with likely extension on a long term project. Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
