Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care for patients presenting with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
- Evaluate, diagnose, and stabilize patients in a high-acuity emergency department
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers and the broader clinical team to support patient flow and continuity of care
- Document patient encounters and clinical decisions in the electronic medical record
- Manage cases in a Level III trauma center while maintaining high standards of quality and patient safety
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Active state medical license
- Board certification
- Active DEA registration for the state of application
- Case logs for the past 2 years
- If not ABEM, current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a high-volume emergency department
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record systems
- Experience in a community hospital or trauma center setting
