A leading global law firm is seeking a technically strong Tax Specialist to take ownership of all in-market tax activity within the R2R function. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise across UK tax compliance, partnership tax, VAT, PSA, and corporation tax, with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders and drive accuracy across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all tax matters across VAT, WHT, Corporation Tax, PSA, GST and Partner Tax.
- Prepare and review tax computations, VAT returns, PSA and partnership tax filings.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and support statutory audit requirements.
- Review coding, expenses and asset capitalisation; correct mispostings and reduce recurring errors.
- Support Basis Period Reform calculations and partner tax exposures.
- Review expenses for taxable benefits and ensure IR35 compliance with Payroll.
- Provide tax guidance to lawyers and business services teams.
- Train finance colleagues and drive continuous process improvements.
- Recognised tax qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA/ATT).
- Strong experience in tax and finance, ideally within a global or professional services environment.
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Solid analytical and project management capability; SAP experience desirable.
