The Opportunity
This is a newly created role designed to support growth, strengthen team capability, and improve portfolio sustainability across the broader claims function. You will manage a portfolio of approximately 40–45 retail life insurance claims across a range of products and complexities including:
- Income Protection (IP)
- Total & Permanent Disability (TPD)
- Rehabilitation and return-to-work focused claims
- Terminal illness claims
- Technical claims involving non-disclosure investigations
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a mixed retail life insurance claims portfolio
- Deliver high-quality technical and risk-based assessments
- Build strong relationships with customers, advisers, and stakeholders
- Support rehabilitation and sustainable return-to-work outcomes
- Manage sensitive claims conversations with empathy and professionalism
- Apply sound judgement across technical and non-disclosure matters
- Contribute positively to team culture and collaboration
- Continue developing technical capability and delegated authority
