We are seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to join the leadership team. This senior clinician–leader role combines active clinical practice with operational leadership, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the practice while maintaining high standards of multidisciplinary care. Working closely with the Director, you will help guide the clinical team, strengthen operational systems, and contribute to the ongoing direction and sustainability of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an active clinical caseload within your discipline while modelling high standards of ethical, evidence-based care
- Provide clinical leadership across a multidisciplinary team, supporting psychology, occupational therapy, and speech pathology services
- Act as an escalation point for complex clinical, ethical, or professional matters
- Lead clinician performance reviews, set clear expectations, and support professional growth
- Contribute to recruitment and workforce planning to attract and retain high-quality clinicians
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, supporting wellbeing and psychological safety
- Oversee day-to-day operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and service delivery
- Monitor clinical capacity, referral demand, and resource allocation to support a balanced and sustainable practice
- Partner with the Director to translate strategic priorities into operational action
About You
- You are an experienced clinician who enjoys supporting others to succeed and wants to remain clinically engaged while stepping into a broader leadership and operational role.
- Current professional registration in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Pathology
- Significant experience working within multidisciplinary clinical environments
- Demonstrated leadership or management experience within healthcare or allied health settings
- Confidence in managing clinician performance, professional standards, and complex situations
- The ability to balance clinical responsibilities with operational leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style
- Experience in private practice or mixed funding environments (e.g., NDIS or Medicare) and formal leadership or management training will be highly regarded.
