Senior Data Engineer

This is a hands-on contract role working across a modern data stack, supporting ongoing platform and transformation initiatives. You'll be joining a collaborative engineering team with strong internal support, mature standards, and access to experienced SMEs across platform, data, and business domains. 

In this role you'll be:   

• Building and optimising Snowflake data models
• Developing, testing, and maintaining dbt transformation pipelines
• Designing and orchestrating workflows using Airflow and/or Python
• Delivering scalable and reliable data solutions across multiple squads
• Contributing to engineering best practices, testing, and documentation
• Supporting ongoing data platform and migration initiatives

About you

The ideal contractor will bring strong Snowflake capability, experience building scalable transformation pipelines in dbt, and orchestration experience using Airflow and/or Python. Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are equally important. You'll bring: 

• Strong commercial experience with Snowflake (SnowPro Core certification highly regarded)
• Proven experience with dbt (Cloud or Core)
• Airflow and/or strong Python engineering capability
• Experience working within modern data stack environments
• Strong understanding of data modelling and performance optimisation
