The organisation
ImagingHQ is partnering with a regional imaging service in Launceston, TAS to appoint a Sonographer – General. This service supports a broad catchment including referring GPs, visiting specialists, and surgical teams — offering the kind of clinical variety and genuine community impact that is hard to replicate in a metropolitan setting. Launceston sits at the gateway to Tasmania's Tamar Valley wine region, with outstanding bushwalking and a relaxed pace of life.
The role
You will perform general ultrasound examinations to a high clinical standard. You will work closely with reporting radiologists or cardiologists, manage your own patient list, document findings accurately in the RIS, and contribute to protocol development and quality assurance.
What we're looking for
Current accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR), or eligibility to obtain ASAR accreditation (including via ASMIRT overseas assessment pathway). We actively support overseas-trained sonographers through the accreditation pathway and are experienced in assisting UK and Irish-trained candidates.
