With the growing demand for driving advancements in technology, our client is currently seeking a highly motivated Assistant Accountant to join their supportive & high-achieving Finance team.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The purpose of your role is to provide support & assistance for the finance manager and finance team with all bookkeeping and data entry for account preparation.
Key Duties Include:
- Action daily enquiries from customers and staff, face to face and by phone/email.
- Open, action and circulate daily mail.
- Daily bank account reconciliations.
- Oversee preparation, payment, reconciliation, and payment of fortnightly payroll.
- Processing supplier invoices and mailing/emailing statements.
- Reconciliation of intercompany balances.
- Processing suppliers' foreign exchange requirements.
- Preparation of reports required under the company's FCPA reporting requirements.
- Opening and maintenance of debtors' and creditors' master file accounts.
- Preparation and posting of monthly accounting journals.
- Reconciliation of high-risk balance sheet accounts.
- Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly draft accounting reports.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will preferably have:
- A Tertiary degree in Accounting
- At least 12 months of experience in Assistant Accounting roles
- Previous experience in supporting month-end closing, as well as general reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Salary Package: $70k + benefits
