KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection methods, and testing procedures for electronic components and assemblies.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Use methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control to reduce variation and improve yield.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers
- Conduct supplier audits and manage incoming quality issues.
- Define and oversee functional, environmental, and reliability testing of electronic products.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, IPC (e.g., IPC-A-610), and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain quality documentation including control plans, inspection reports, and nonconformance reports.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Work with R&D, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for quality (DFQ).
- Provide training to production staff on quality standards and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or quality engineering.
- Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams).
- Understanding of industry standards (IPC, ISO).
- Certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from American Society for Quality.
- Experience with failure analysis techniques and reliability testing.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, CE).
- Knowledge of sensors
