Die Maker/Die Tryout Location: Grasslake, MI Shift: 2:30pm-12:30 am or 3:30pm-1:30am (M-Sat) Pay: Up to $33.50/hr Job SummaryAre you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Tool Die Maker to join our team in Grasslake, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us produce high-quality automotive dies and components while maintaining precision and efficiency throughout the die tryout and build process.What You'll Be DoingAs a Tool Die Maker, your core responsibilities will include:Die Tryouts and Validation: Perform tryouts and validations on automotive dies, including changes, FLD, and new builds, ensuring tooling meets customer standards.Panel Evaluation Corrective Actions: Evaluate panels for out-of-tolerance issues, determine corrective actions, and apply precise adjustments based on GD and CMM data.Press Setup Operation: Set up and operate straight side and toggle/dual action presses, performing spotting, nesting trim changes, and welding (TIG/MIG) safely and efficiently.In addition, you will also be expected to support the Die Tryout process, maintain a safe and organized work environment, and collaborate with Program Managers and shop leaders to optimize processes and quality.What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have the following:Qualifications:Journeyman card/certificate preferred or 8+ years of hands-on Tool Die experienceHands-on experience with draw dies, line dies, and timing (cam/direct)Skilled in reading CMM data, die designs, and GD experience (TIG/MIG)Must have your own toolsSkills:Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret die designs, GD, and CMM data to ensure accuracy and quality.Problem-Solving Skills: Quickly identify and resolve issues during die tryout and build processes.Safety Precision: Strong focus on safety, including lockout procedures, while maintaining high-quality standards.Why Join Us?This is an excellent opportunity for both short-term and long-term employment.
