Job Title: Business Development Manager - Europe

THE OPPORTUNITY
Fluna is a dynamic and innovative startup, founded 2 years ago, that helps high-growth African exporters and importers tap into global markets via proprietary trade data, flexible financing, and global treasury solutions. They support mid-market exporters in Africa with much-needed working capital to satisfy demand from buyers in the United States and Europe. They have onboarded 100+ exporters and deployed $20m+ in trade finance over the last 24 months. They are currently in search of a Business Development Manager.
As the Business Development Manager at Fluna, you would be responsible for establishing relationships with exporters and buyers for fresh produce, identifying product opportunities, and attending trade fairs – across Europe. You will be working closely with the company’s C-suite members.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate must be experienced in sales and business development, with a background in exotic trading. The right person must also have an existing network of European buyers, with an ability to navigate the African market.

- Bachelor’s degree in business management or any related field (desirable)
- Relevant experience in sales, business development, and key account management
- Background in exotic trading (avocados, mangoes)
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- A successful relationship builder
- Highly analytical
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
