The aim of the position is to provide leadership and guidance to the clinical study team in order to ensure that all studies are conducted in accordance with the right standards, SOPs, guidelines and regulations.

This role will suit someone with Oncology research experience, who is driven and who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will need to demonstrate a high level of maturity and solid people leadership skills.

We are also looking for someone who is commercially aware, with experience working on budgets, feasibility reviews and CTRA amendments.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Project Leader, you will be managing the conduct of clinical trials and will have full responsibility for a team of ~6 people (Sr Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Coordinators & Research Assistants).

 Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

  • Leadership & Team Management

  • Resource Management & Reporting

  • Liaison with sponsor companies

  • Project management of clinical studies

  • Ensuring adherence to protocols, ethical and legal requirements

  • Preparation and review of project documentation

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Sciences and/or other related field

  • Extensive Clinical Research Project Coordination/Management experience in the Oncology space (must)

  • Phase I/FIH experience (highly desirable)

  • Line management experience (highly desirable)

  • Outstanding practical working knowledge of clinical trials regulations and guidelines

  • Outstanding organisational skills

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills

  • Result focused

  • Being proactive and taking initiatives

  • High attention to details

  • Must be a citizen/PR of Australia/New Zealand
