Chandler Macleod are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Storeperson to join Steelforce at their Canberra branch in Hume.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a current forklift licence who enjoys hands-on warehouse work, customer interaction, and working as part of a supportive team. Previous experience within the steel industry would be highly regarded, however it is not essential.

About the role Working within a busy steel distribution environment, your duties will include:

  • Picking and packing steel products
  • Loading and unloading trucks and customer orders
  • Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Assisting with stock movement and general warehouse duties
  • Serving customers and assisting with order collection
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
  • Following all site safety procedures and manual handling requirements
About you To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current forklift licence (essential)
  • Previous warehouse, stores or yard experience
  • Ability to safely handle long and heavy products
  • Strong attention to detail when picking and packing orders
  • Reliable transport and availability to work Monday to Friday
  • Steel industry experience highly regarded, but not essential

  • Day shift hours: 7:30am – 3:30pm
