About the Role:

Our Federal Government Client is seeking DevOps Engineers. This is a long-term contract role 12 months initial contract with 12 months extension term (2 extensions), located at our client’s ACT location with hybrid working arrangements.

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Design, implement and maintain secure Azure cloud environments
• Support application migration from on-premise to cloud platforms
• Develop automated deployment and infrastructure solutions
• Work within DevOps and Agile delivery practices
• Build and enhance cloud-native features and automation capabilities
• Support Linux environments and Java-based applications
• Perform system performance tuning and optimisation
• Automate processes and enable self-service capabilities
• Monitor cloud services and improve utilisation and performance
• Implement and uplift Azure security controls and policies
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align security and business objectives
• Manage vulnerability scanning and respond to security incidents
• Work with architects, developers and administrators on secure solutions
• Maintain documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams

To be successful in this role you should have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in DevOps within complex data and analytics platforms
• Proven experience in system design, development, governance and documentation
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and shell scripting
• Experience working with Azure DevOps and cloud platforms
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates or Azure Bicep

It is desirable if you have:

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance or the ability to obtain.
