Required Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in telecommunications or equivalent technical training
- Background in wiring, alarm systems, or related technical fields
- Proficiency with test equipment such as OTDR, OSA, DS1/3, Ethernet tools
- Strong PC skills and excellent oral and written communication
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to multi-task and remain composed in demanding environments
- Flexibility to work day, evening, night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience with private line broadband installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of DS3/DS1, SONET/DWDM, and IP/MPLS fundamentals
- Cisco or Alcatel Lucent IP certifications
- VOIP switching and maintenance expertise
- Fiber optics splicing and maintenance skills
- SS7/STP support familiarity
- College or technical degree in a related field
- Prior experience with telecommunications equipment installation, troubleshooting, and network restoration
- Ability to work flexible hours, including call-ins and emergency support
- Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule for network monitoring and support
