Position Summary: Responsible for hanging and unloading raw steel parts on the paint conveyor line in a fast yet safe manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Load raw steel parts on the paint conveyor line using hooks according to production specifications/quantities while visually checking quality of parts being hung.

Unload painted parts off the conveyor and inspect to ensure that quality standards are met before placing them on skids.

Count parts and bundle utilizing banding machine and attach packaging material.

Notify management of issues or concerns in a timely manner (e.g. machine malfunctions, inability to meet required schedule, safety concerns/hazards, etc.).

Suggests improvements to promote quality, increase production, and safety.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.

Wear personal protection equipment and follow safety procedures.

Follow safety rules, procedures and requirements.

Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience working in a production environment preferred.

Ability to work overtime when needed.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Ability to visually identify hooks and parts and inspect parts.

Ability to remain results-focused in a fast-paced safe work environment.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to work in a warm environment while moving continuously.

Ability to lift and/or move 10 pounds frequently, 25-40 occasionally.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Must have manual dexterity in both hands and the ability to reach with hands and arms.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
