Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) | TDCJ: Smith Unit | Full-Time Day Shift

We are currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to work at a Correctional facility in Lamesa, TX.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Lamesa, TX
• Facility: Preston E. Smith Unit
• Setting: Corrections
• Schedule: 12 hour Day Shift, 4 on 4 off schedule, rotating 36/48 hours
• Pay:
  • Local: $38+/hour, depending on experience
  • Travel:
    • W2 Rate: $20/hour
    • Weekly Travel Stipend: $800
    • Weekly Total (36-hour weeks): $1,520 
    • Weekly Total (48-hour weeks): $1,960

• Current TX or Multistate LVN License
• 1+ year of relevant Licensed Vocational Nursing experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under the supervision of an RN or physician
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed orders and facility protocols
• Conduct intake screenings and assist with routine and emergency assessments
• Assess and provide mental health care, support continuity of treatment for chronic, acute, psychological and medical needs
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or basic life support
