We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist (Rad Onc) to provide clinic-based coverage August 3rd through the end of the year, with the potential to extend into 2027 while a permanent provider is recruited.
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Setting: Outpatient clinic only
Call: None
Weekends: None
Rounding: None
Procedures: None required
Coverage Needs: Every weekday coverage is required for continuity of care
Coverage Preference:
Strong preference for one full-time locum provider who can cover all scheduled clinic days
Will also consider two locum providers splitting coverage, ensuring consistent and continuous patient care
Clinical Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage patients undergoing radiation therapy in an outpatient setting
Conduct new patient consultations, including review of medical history, imaging, and pathology
Develop and oversee radiation treatment plans in collaboration with medical physicists and dosimetry teams
Provide follow-up care and survivorship planning for patients post-treatment
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical oncology, surgery, and support staff

What kind of plan mixture ( 2 D, 3D , IMRT , SBRT , STS , Brachytherapy ) Mix of 3D and IMRT with SBRT lung and SRS. No brachytherapy.
How many physicians are on site? - 2
Staff support? - Onsite - 4 RTs , 2 physicists, 2 nurses, 1 dosimetrist, 1 radiation manager
Average # pts on beam, consults and f/u per week? 25-35 on beam per day, 3-7 consults per week , 20-30 follow ups per week ,
