HR Generalist

A technology-focused company in Erie, PA is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations during a maternity leave coverage assignment expected to last approximately 18 weeks, with potential extension and long-term opportunity. This role will support recruiting, onboarding, payroll administration, compliance, and HR systems management within a fast-paced professional environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing multiple HR functions while supporting employees across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiting efforts including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for open positions

• Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation processes

• Provide payroll and HR administrative support

• Complete state tax registrations for new hiring locations as needed

• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations

• Assist with HRIS management and employee data maintenance

• Support compliance initiatives, training documentation, and general HR operations

• Respond to employee and applicant inquiries professionally and efficiently

• Collaborate with management on hiring and employee-related matters

• Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous HR experience preferred; internship experience will be considered

• Experience working with HRIS systems required

• Experience with Rippling or similar platforms such as Workday preferred

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Professional verbal and written communication skills

• Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems quickly

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

• First shift (8:30am – 4:30pm)

• $23+/hr based on experience
