Buyer / Procurement Specialist Location: Santa Clara, CA (100% Onsite)
Pay: Up to $35/hour
Schedule: Day Shift (8-hour shifts)
Experience: 3–5 Years Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer / Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain operations in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams while developing strong vendor relationships and driving cost-effective procurement strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and purchase agreements with suppliers
• Manage non-strategic suppliers and purchasing activities
• Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, and award business to vendors
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials
• Expedite orders and resolve delays or supply issues
• Partner with engineering and supply chain teams to identify and onboard new suppliers
• Maintain inventory levels in coordination with manufacturing
• Resolve material discrepancies, receiving issues, and invoicing concerns
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement systems
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Skills and Knowledge

• Understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing strategies
• Inventory management and logistics knowledge
• Vendor management and contract negotiation experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset
